Karma, as one comes to understand it, is the effect of action and reaction. It is one of the basic principals of Buddhism. Karma, as one might ignorantly believe, isn't the act of good will but the thought behind the act of good will. For surely he who would act in a kind and generous nature but with only greed and self interest in his mind wouldn't not be rewarded with the benefits without having present the essence of compassion for his fellow men. No, karma is the will of good intention and not the act of intention in itself: as some may need to do what, from a certain point of view, is believed bad but in the best interest for the cause and with a whole heart.

In the end one must believe that the intention of goodness is the essence of karma and to follow such a path will, if nothing more have oneself believing that something pure good and honest is in the devotion of oneself. Karma my friends is the difference between good and bad but not as we may do, but as we may intend it.
